We cannot believe the holiday season is upon us and the new year is only a couple of weeks away. This year truly flew by but we are so incredibly fortunate to feel the pressure of yet another busy season. Since the end of this year has been so full of events, meetings, and planning for 2018, we are taking a little time off to rest and be even more prepared for jumping into what’s ahead.
The rest of this week and beginning of next are full of planning, catching up, and getting ready to get back into the swing of things when the new year arrives. We will be taking a break from the office, emails, and (dare we say it) planning from Friday, December 22, 2017, through Wednesday, December 27, 2017. We will then be back in the office for a couple of quick days before a New Year’s Eve Wedding (congratulations, Maggie and Max!) and then will enjoy a brief celebration of our own for the New Year on Monday January 1, 2018, and Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
Any current clients please submit any requests for work and/or questions by Wednesday, December 20, 2017 (just one week away!) so we can try to address any outstanding items before we leave for our break. It is so important for our team to put family, friends, and when it’s needed, rest first. This allows us the opportunity to regroup, focus on why we do what we do, and then to come back fully refreshed and hopefully even better than before. If you text while we are on break, anything work related will be addressed when we get back to the office. This being said, please feel free to text any non-event planning related items while on break because we always love to hear from you! Please always email while we are away if you think of something, but please also be patient with our response. 🙂
We truly value the opportunity to work with such wonderful clients and individuals in the community who understand the need for our team to take some time off, too. We love working with you to put together events that are so truly unique and special. When you’re so passionate about all that you do and the people you get to encounter, it makes it difficult to take time off, however, it must be done to get back to the heart of the business to make sure we are doing the best we can.
Here’s to you and yours and wishing you the happiest of holiday seasons this year. We cannot wait to celebrate with you in the next!
P.S. – Don’t forget to come celebrate with us this Friday, December 15, 2017, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Old Vanderburgh County Courthouse for the Winter Solstice Open House. You can see where we spend our days planning, meet the people we love to plan with, and enjoy a fun and free evening of food, beer, wine, and great company. We will have coffee, cookies, cheese, crackers, and Perrier in the City Social Events office. Bring anyone you like – we hope to see you there!
